Areas to Give

DONATE NOW is divided into three distinct Areas to Give categories for your consideration - GENERAL DONATION, TRUST FUND, and CALIFORNIA HISTORY DAY.  Each is equally worthy of your financial assistance as each has an important contribution to the success of CCHS.

GENERAL DONATION

Generally, Annual Membership Dues takes care of the administration expenses of CCHS. Interest from the Trust Fund also goes to the administrative expenses. If selected, General Donation will now help to defer these administrative costs and go directly to annual administrative expense. Administration costs consist of maintaining a virtual office with phone and email contact 5 days-a-week, 9am to 5pm; website development and maintenance including the expense of the CCHS domain name; maintaining the NationBuilder database including monthly subscription cost; and various other ever-changing administration expenses including the cost of a third party management company.

Making a donation to the CCHS Trust Fund ensures that CCHS can continue helping historians, and others who are interested in California history, to connect and share information by joining efforts to preserve records, artifacts, sites and buildings throughout the state of California. It also ensures CCHS can continue helping local societies and small museums learn about and put into practice the most effective management, acquisition, preservation and restoration techniques. We invite you to be a part of this mission. NATIONAL HISTORY DAY - CALIFORNIA   (California History Day)

Making a donation to NHD will go towards providing rewards in the name of CCHS for the NHD recipients. These rewards come in the form of certificates, medals, trophies, special topic-related prizes, scholarships, or monetary awards.  Learn more about National History Day - California here and how your donation can help to impact the next generation working to preserve California history!

Tuna Salad Sandwich

Grilled Chicken Breast/ Ice Cream

Please let us know your Saturday LUNCH preference and any special dietary needs, using the box provided below.  

Lunch consists of a sandwich, a bottle of water, and a small salad or chips

Sandwich choices:

  1. Le Parisien: French ham, Swiss cheese, salad, French cornichons, butter
  2. Vegetarian: Lettuce, zucchini, eggplant, tomato, tomato pesto, mozzarella
  3. Tuna Salad: Tuna, lettuce, carrots, onion, cucumber, basil, olive oil, lemon juice, relish (mayonnaise is optional)
  4. Smoked Turkey BLT: Turkey, bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard

Please let us know your Saturday DINNER preference and any special dietary needs, using the box provided below.  

All dinners come with rice and vegetables and include a choice of:

  1. Mesquite grilled 8 oz. sirloin steak topped with chimichurri
  2. Grilled chicken breast topped with mango salsa and mango vinaigrette
  3. Vegetarian option

 Desert options are Churros or Ice Cream.
